Take two parts "old Palm Springs", add a dash of '50s Hollywood and you get this "well-maintained" desert resort, founded by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez, with "spectacular views" of the Santa Rosa Mountains; guests praise the "wonderful atmosphere" but also see a hotel "on a downhill slide", with a "murky" Jacuzzi and pool, "issues with Internet" and an "undeserved resort fee"; still, rooms are "not opulent, but luxurious" and the staff receives high marks.

The cost.
The hotel was old and smelled. I did not like the $22.50 resort fee. Way too much.

This hotel is not a three star hotel. Maybe 40 years ago but not today. The rooms hallways and stairs all smelled really bad. The floors creaked. I love Priceline but this hotel does not meet your standards. ...read more

Clean facilities and a
friendly staff.
Dining.

Very nice room with very poor, obstructed view, probably due to the price I paid through Priceline.com. $20/day additional facilities fee was expected, but nevertheless objectionable! - included a mediocre continental breakfast, a nice fitness center which I did use, and pool use which I did not!! ...read more

When we checked out there was a $21.00 per day charge. They should have told us that when we checked in!

Convenient
Lack of privacy for pool.

Overall, the facility and staff were great. We were not impressed with the pool because the night we stayed at the facility, there was a function around the pool and pool bar so the pool was not accessible for leisure purposes. ...read more

Good location, friendly staff, and breakfast included.
Was supposed to be a resort, but felt like a regular hotel.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel conveniently located in Indian Wells. It has some amenities such as a nice pool, exercise room, restaurant, banquet space. But it just feels like a regular hotel - not a resort, and not memorable. The place bills itself as a resort, and we had to pay a resort fee (really ought to be included in room fee - what's up with that?). I really don't see why though - it's really just a regular hotel. There is really nothing wrong with this place, it just was not quite what we had anticipated. ...read more
